Our commitment to responsible tourism
At Kopster, we believe deeply in the interconnectedness of all living things and the importance of living in harmony with our environment. That’s why it’s only natural for us to take concrete steps to preserve the beauty and diversity of the animal world, while making an active contribution to protecting the planet.
GREEN KEY CERTIFICATION
Our three Kopster hotels are proud to be Green Key certified, the first sustainable tourism label for tourist accommodation and restaurants. This label demonstrates our commitment to a greener form of tourism, with daily concrete actions:
Water and energy saving: LED lighting, water savers, motion sensors, towel change on request and optimised air conditioning management.
Limiting and sorting waste: we favour large packaging and soap dispensers and print on paper only when necessary.
Recycling of leftover soap, which is melted down and distributed to hostels
Guest well-being: we are a non-smoking establishment, have banned the use of bleach and our bed linen is certified organic cotton.
Raising awareness among employees and suppliers through the creation of a Green Team, the development of a Green Book and responsible purchasing decisions for all our supplies..

In the same spirit, we invite you to join our team for a greener future. For example, you can opt to sort plastic in your room or request your bill by email to save paper.
If you’re more of a stair climber than a lift user, that’s a great way to reduce your carbon footprint and get some exercise at the same time.
And when you get around, why not take public transport or a short walk to explore the city a little more? Together we can make our planet a little greener, and by changing a few habits we can make a difference!
