Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation: A Humanitarian Commitment to Fighting Cancer and Protecting Children
On June 10, 2025, in Lyon, Jean-Claude Lavorel, Chairman and CEO of the Lavorel Hotels Group, officially launched the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation — a personal initiative dedicated to two major causes: the fight against cancer and support for children. This foundation marks a new chapter in the social and humanitarian commitment of its founder.
For several years, through the Lavorel Hotels Group, Jean-Claude Lavorel has been taking concrete action in support of solidarity, both in the Lyon region and beyond. The creation of this foundation aims to formalize, structure, and strengthen these efforts, with the ambition to support meaningful, sustainable, and deeply human projects.
“Through this foundation, I want our actions to have a lasting impact by supporting meaningful projects that respond to the real needs of our society.”
— Jean-Claude Lavorel
Two Key Focus Areas for Real Impact
The Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation is centered on two core priorities:
• Fighting cancer — by supporting research, prevention, and patient care.
• Protecting children — by backing initiatives that aim to improve the living conditions of vulnerable children.
Strong Partnerships Serving a Common Cause
Rooted in powerful values of solidarity, the foundation relies on both ongoing and one-time partnerships:
• Centre Léon Bérard – Co-organization of a charity dinner to raise funds for cancer research.
• Ma Chance Moi Aussi – Organizing events for children in vulnerable situations, offering them moments of joy and relief.
• Noël Ensemble – Co-organizing a Christmas Eve solidarity dinner at the Marriott in Lyon for socially isolated elderly people.
• 2500 Voix – Supporting this association in its fight against pediatric cancers, particularly during its annual fundraising dinner.
• SapoCycle – Partnering with this initiative that recycles used hotel soaps and redistributes them to vulnerable populations after transformation.
The foundation also provides occasional support to other associations such as Handicap International, L’Enfant Bleu, Wine Charity Event, and Café Joyeux — an inclusive business based in Lyon.
A Long-Term Vision for a More Caring World
Through the Jean-Claude Lavorel Foundation, Jean-Claude Lavorel is committed to lasting impact. He seeks to support projects that deliver measurable results, promote solidarity, and enhance the protection and well-being of the most vulnerable.
Everyone can contribute to this movement of solidarity. By making a donation, you directly support tangible, humane, and sustainable actions.
